Zen Garden Resort sits on nearly six hectares of wooded grounds on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, in Zánka. Wooden houses are scattered among the trees, and a natural bathing lake opens onto the water. The ceremony and celebrations will unfold across the grounds and gardens on Saturday.

Exact times will be confirmed closer to the date once the venue finalises details.
We're planning a relaxed, slow-start wedding day, so you're very welcome to arrive early and enjoy the resort with us. Guests can start arriving from around 9:00–10:00 am. If you are joining us only for the ceremony and main wedding programme, please plan to arrive around 3:00–4:00 pm. We'll share the final ceremony time and detailed schedule before the wedding.
No. The ceremony will take place directly at Zen Garden, so once you arrive at the resort, you won't need to travel anywhere else for the rest of the wedding.
Absolutely. Everyone is welcome to join us on Friday. It will be completely informal and relaxed — we'll hang out at the resort, use the facilities, have some food and dinner, play games, have a few drinks and spend time together before the wedding day. There is no formal programme, so arrive whenever works for you.
Yes. Guests staying at Zen Garden can enjoy the resort facilities during their stay, including the pool, wellness facilities and other available amenities. Friday in particular is meant to be a relaxed day where we can enjoy the resort together before the wedding.
If you are staying at Zen Garden on Saturday night, you can arrive earlier in the day and should be able to access your room from around 12:00 noon. We'll share any final check-in instructions closer to the wedding.
If you requested accommodation for Friday, Saturday or both nights, Domi has already reserved and paid for your room. We'll prepare a final list with the accommodation costs and contact everyone individually with the amount to pay and payment details.
We're coordinating the final room assignments with Zen Garden. We'll share your cabin or room details with you shortly before the wedding.
We'll have a big breakfast together on Sunday morning with plenty of food, followed by a relaxed goodbye. Checkout will be around 12:00 noon, after which everyone can head home or continue their trip around Lake Balaton.
Our preferred dress code is pastel garden formal: elegant, romantic and relaxed, with soft or pastel colours that work well in a garden setting. It is not a strict dress code, though, so most importantly wear something you feel good and comfortable in. For women, we kindly ask you to avoid white, ivory, beige, black and red. The ceremony and reception will take place outdoors on grass, so we strongly recommend comfortable shoes. Wider heels, flats or shoes that are easy to walk in on grass will probably be more practical than thin stilettos.
Yes. Children and babies are very welcome — this is a completely family-friendly wedding and we're looking forward to celebrating with your little ones too. If you need something specific, such as a high chair, please let us know so we can arrange it with the venue.
Our guest list is now finalised and unfortunately we're no longer able to accommodate additional plus ones. If a partner or plus one is already included in your invitation or RSVP, they are of course very welcome.
Yes. There is plenty of free parking directly at Zen Garden. If you are staying at the resort, once you arrive and park you shouldn't need to use your car again until you leave.
No organised transportation will be provided after the wedding. If you are not staying at Zen Garden on Saturday night, please arrange your own transportation from the venue in advance.
Yes. If you need a ride to or from Zen Garden, reach out to us. We can help connect guests travelling at similar times so you can coordinate car sharing directly.
The ceremony is planned to take place outside in the garden, and we would still like to keep it outdoors in light rain. If there is some rain, we'll provide umbrellas for guests. We also have a backup rain plan with the venue if the weather makes an outdoor ceremony impractical.
Yes. We already collected dietary requirements and allergies through the RSVP form and will coordinate them with the venue. If anything has changed since you submitted your RSVP, please let us know before the wedding.
Yes. Feel free to take photos and videos throughout the wedding, including during the ceremony. We'd love to see the day from everyone's perspective.
We'll have a QR code at the wedding that you can use to upload photos and videos directly during the evening. After the wedding, we'll collect everything together and share a Google Photos album so everyone can look back at the weekend.
We'll provide dedicated wedding-day contact persons before the wedding who can help with rooms, timing, directions and other practical questions.
The ceremony, speeches and most announcements will primarily be in Hungarian. Our ceremony master will also speak some English, and we'll translate or explain as much of the important content as possible for our international guests. All essential practical information and updates will also be available in English.
